Steamy Recs December 2024

Hi Wild Ones! Every month I recommend books, movies, and TV that I’ve enjoyed. Looking for your next read or watch? Read on. I’ve got some fun Holiday / Thanksgiving / Christmas short stories to recommend. Plus a RomCom movie with some sexy male dancers. If you want more check out the Holiday and Christmas tag.

Candy Cane Kisses: A Holiday Anthology edited by Kristine Kathryn Rusch

A collection of mostly sweet holiday romance short stories that I really enjoyed. I started this last year and recommended some then. These are the rest that stood out to me:

A Fluffy Black Ball of Pure Naughtiness by Kari Kilgore – a sweet and delicious M/M post-Thanksgiving story that made me smile.

When Nicky Met Holly by Annie Reid – a charming story of love and the winding path it takes.

A Decidedly Fly-By-Night Angel by – this one puts the magic of the season in a whole new light. It was unexpected and unique. For fans of F/F.

Wings for Keiko by – a very touching story of love after loss. Made me cry.

The Merry Gentlemen

Netflix Original Video

I enjoyed this cheesy version of a Magic Mike type Christmas movie. There were some hot guys dancing, and of course the holiday romance. Don’t expect anything too serious or Oscar-worthy, but it was a fun thing to watch with a glass of wine and someone who also appreciated the fine view.

Note: I don’t provide links for the books in these rec lists anymore, but you should know I get books from all over the place: Amazon (including Audible), Barnes & Noble, Chirp books, Kobo, Smashwords, the library, direct from the author, Kickstarter, and Storybundle. So if you don’t find the book at your usual store please consider looking around for it. Don’t forget the author’s website! Many authors sell direct to readers, and authors make more when you buy direct from them.
