The last few months have been really busy, and these updates kinda got away from me. I also haven’t read as much as I’d like to have, but that’s life sometimes. I have some really fun Christmas books, a fantasy vampire novel that was captivating, and two excellent sci-fi movies with great Ace representation – with Valentine’s Day vibes.

Did you know there’s a term for a book that’s available for sale on multiple retailers? In publishing we call that book a Wide book – meaning it’s widely available. The opposite of a Wide book is one where the ebook is in Kindle Unlimited. Why? Because Amazon demands that an ebook be exclusive to Amazon if it’s going to be in Kindle Unlimited. It’s their way of making KU competitive and a good value for the readers. This is why you never see KU ebooks for sale on any other retailer.
There are a lot of indie authors who don’t want to be exclusive to Amazon, for lots of reasons. I’m one of them. I don’t want all (or most) of my author income to be dependent on Amazon (or any particular retailer). I also want to be able to sell in any country in the world (Amazon is only available in certain countries), and I want my eligible books to be available in libraries (libraries don’t take erotica, though, so not all of my books are at the library!).
A bunch of us authors have gotten together to run a promo of romance books that are widely available. There are 130 books available at multiple retailers in this promotion. Click the horse picture to check them out!
