Hi Wild Ones! Every month I recommend books, movies, and TV that I’ve enjoyed. Looking for your next read or watch? Read on. I finished a lot this month, including a massive fantasy novel that was so good. Also a contemporary rom-com, a sort-of post-apoc paranormal M/M, and some contemporary M/M short stories. Enjoy!

Naamah’s Curse by Jacqueline Carey
Moirin goes through a lot in this book. There’s some very unexpected adventure, some of it difficult to read. It has a fantastic ending though, that I loved. As always with these books, the theme of “love always wins” comes on strong at the end. And I love that Moirin continues to have a very strong bisexual experience in each book, and that her mail main love interst is very accepting of her as she is. It’s deeply satisfying.

Mister McHottie by Pippa Grant
I loved Stud in the Stacks and wanted more of this series. This one was almost as good as Stud. I came to really love the two characters. Even more, I love the way Grant weaves humor into her stories, and also makes her men so supportive and sex-positive. Even if I thin the story is going to start out too silly it always brings the good emotional depth by the end.

Chained Hearts by Elizabeth Noble
Todd and Nick are on the run, wanted for murder. They’re injured and out in the elements during a harsh winter with no help, dealing with the aftermath of the last book. It’s another adventure for them as they struggle to find a safe place for themselves in a post-apocalyptic Wild West. I like the way their story continues to develop over the series.
The Label Maker by Kris Ripper
This is a lovely little vignette of a poly relationship getting ready for a wedding and finding some time for a little mischievous fun. I love the way Ripper writes kink and poly relationships, and weaves it into regular life.
Hugh’s Special blend by Kris Ripper
The first one wasn’t porny, but this one is! A very hot M/M/M shower scene that I enjoyed.

Blink Twice
HOLY HELL was this movie a kick to the head. It is NOT A ROMANCE, so don’t go into it thinking it is because Channing Tatum is in it. It’s very different from the romances I usually recommend here, so I debated about including it. I decided to include it because it has a lot to say about violence against women and how it gets ignored, even by other women. The message is important, and is presented in an utterly unique way, so I decided to include it because it made me think. It also gave me a nightmare, for what that’s worth. It is a psychological thriller, so be prepared to not know what is going on. And be prepared for a lot of violence – Amazon even put a trigger warning on it for sexual violence and they weren’t exaggerating. Don’t watch if you’re sensitive to that. Take care with this one, Wild Ones. <3
